Love Letters

This was a note Olivia left for me in a journal she custom painted. It took me quite a while after to find it, but that made it even better. Reading things like this is a reminder of the man that I want to be, and the man I try to be. I love you Olivia.

"You told me before that most material things are meaningless, but I hope you fill this with the brilliant words and thoughts that you create and give it meaning by making it a reflection of the person you are. You are inspiring. I know you don't care for gifts or the attention that comes with this day. (My Birthday) But you have gifted me with your softness, genuine attentiveness, wisdom, generous affections, kindness, and the joy of your presence. Those are things that I have cherished and celebrated since the day you came into my life. I hope that I am able to make it known how precious you are to me, always. I see you clearer and love you more and more for it. I have never been as happy as you make me. I also have never felt as understood or connected with a person as I do with you, and this is only the beginning. It is easy for me to love you based on the way you make me feel, but even with all of that aside, I would not be able to keep from admiring you. Just watching the way you are with people, and seeing who you are on your own, the depths of your beautiful mind, and the reality of your conclusions. Your perspective and your desires. Your intentions and your purpose. You are so different and I couldn't dream you up if I spent my entire life trying. I am thankful for every moment I have you. I love you with all my heart Trav."

I will not pretend that you are not everything to me. You have gifted me with love, a partner, precious memories, and something I have always wanted, a family. You make me feel like there has to be a God. Your brightness could make stars blush and feel alright to die. A moment with you is worth ten lifetimes. We travel together in our own dimension, and it is an honor to share the air you breathe. If none of this were true, watching you be a mother would be enough to forever keep my attention. You are the clearest representation of peace, grace, elegance, and beauty that i have ever seen. Being with you has taught me that there is no way that I had ever loved before. You helped me reveal the meaning of being a man. For my prolong exit from adolescence, I am eternally grateful.
